The team behind of THE KNOCK BOX have over 20 years experience in the performance racing industry, having worked closely with a large number of respected industry leading companies some of which include: Porsche Cars Australia Motec Australia Various performance car companies and race teams As a result of a lot of performance engine tunning, we found that there was a lack of a good and affordable tool for listening to engine knock. There are some basic ones on the market as well as some really good ones, some cheap and some too expensive. As all engines with their latest designs, it is getting harder to hear engine knock, especially in quiet engine dyno rooms, or over loud exhaust, or tyre noise on chassis dyno's. As a result of this problem, we have decided to design and produce one that would provide superior functionality at an affordable price. The original conception of design came from the factory Nissan team in Australia while racing the Nissan GTR back in 1992. At that time there was nothing available for listening to engine knock, so a friend of mine, who was the chief electronics engineer for the team, was commissioned to develop one, which he did. Like most of these in house inventions, it sat on a desk doing nothing for 10 years until now. In conjunction with him, I have taken that product and released it to the world.
